Father's Day

A, Daddy, M & E

Last Sunday we celebrated a very Happy Father's Day. Because my mom is here, I was able to spend a lot of time making it a special day for T. We enjoyed Belgian waffles with strawberries and whipped cream for breakfast and still got ALL of us to church on time at 8:30AM. I reminded T that he should soak it all in since it would likely be the last time that happened until my mom is here again;o)

The day was so enjoyable and I kept thinking about how lucky I am to be married to T. He is my best friend and the best dad. He plays such an active role in raising our children and is consistent, kind, funny, intelligent, and above all a worthy priesthood holder. I pray that E will grow-up to be as good of a man as his father is and that A & M will marry men just like their dad. I can think of nothing better for my children...

Super Dad & E
Before A & M were born, I drew this tie out of cardstock and backed it to make it super sturdy. Then I laid out the art supplies and let E go to work to make Daddy a new tie to wear to church. He had such a blast and, amazingly, kept it a secret until Father's Day! After T got dressed, E brought him his special tie to wear and T's face lit up! It was my favorite part of the day. I can't wait to do this every year and see how the artwork changes.

M, E & A
Another evidence of E requested "sister snuggle time". In all the other pictures he has a HUGE grin on his face and then, suddenly, there is a picture with his pouty bottom lip. It made me laugh so I'm sharing it with you.
